Founded in 1965, Meteors is the oldest and most successful Ladies Basketball Club in Ireland. Firmly rooted in the Sandyford / Balally area of Dublin its members play at local, national and international levels.

The Meteor Club runs 13 competitive teams from senior to U-11 in addition to organising a very successful Juniors programme each Sunday.

Club training and matches takes place in main sports hall of the Naomh Olaf GAA Centre which is located in the Stillorgan Industrial Park.

Meteors thank Fillies Cafe Bar / Club 92 our sponsor partner who are helping us to build on the successes of the past and continue to provide a much needed sports and social development programme for the girls and young women of the Sandyford / Balally area.

Congratulations to Jessica Tobin, Aedin O'Donnell (both U16)and Ali McGrath (under15) who played with  the Irish Under 16 Team in the U16 European Championship. A great honour for the girls and our club.

Congratulations and Well done to our three U14's Niamh Donnelly, Saoirse Tuile and Rachael Slattery who have made the Dublin Team for the Under 14 Tournament on 2-5 June in Stockholm.
